Volunteer
Have you attended one of our events and wondered how you can contribute?
In addition to cash donations and sponsorships, ACT relies on the community’s talent and expertise. Participating in events is a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends. Here are some ways you can help:
Kid’s activites:
Our kid-friendly events are always in need of people to lead games or craft projects for children.
Face painting:
Our face-painting activities always have a great response. You don’t have to be an expert (after all, the audience is grade school kids).
Balloon art:
With the passing of our beloved board member and balloon artist, Tom Person, we are actively seeking volunteers to take over. Did you make balloon animals as a camp counselor?
Other circus arts:
Juggling and general show-offery.
Artists and craftspeople:
The WinterFest Made-in-Altamont raffle is a major fundraiser. You can donate items to ACT and know that the money raised in the raffle will be recycled back into village grants and events.
Creative People:
Our activities are only limited by imagination and volunteer support. If you have suggestions, we’d love to hear them! Our meetings are the first Thursday of most months or you can email us to be added to the list for notifications.
