About Us

Altamont Community Tradition, Inc. was founded in 2003 to help preserve and maintain the unique historic character of the village.

Over time the organization has evolved to focus on building community by providing events that bring neighbors together and providing grants to community nonprofits that align with our mission. We welcome participation in whatever way suits you.

Our mission is to protect, maintain, and enhance the quality of life in Altamont through education, resource assistance, and community involvement with an emphasis on the historic, cultural, economic, architectural, and landscape environment.

Altamont Community Tradition, Inc. is a tax-exempt organization under IRS Code Section 501(c) (3).

Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month unless otherwise announced. There is no cost to become a member (or Friend).
